The writer Michel Houllebecq is kidnapped by a group of thugs with whom he gradually becomes friends, even sharing drunken binges. The film is based on a real event - his disappearance in 2011 during the presentation tour of the novel The Map and the Territory - and builds a hilarious and caricatured story, as a reportage, with touches of thriller and absurd comedy.
