Policies and Regulations
LEGAL FRAMEWORK AND ORGANIZATIONS TO WHICH IT BELONGS
On September 24, 2013, the Rectorate of the University of Navarra approved the constitution and operating rules of the University of Navarra Museum as the University's own Center. The building was opened to the public in January 2015. Its regulations were revised and updated in September 2020.
The Museum is a Center of the University of Navarra that depends hierarchically on the Permanent Commission of the Governing Board of the University of Navarra and has materialized thanks to the collaboration with the University Foundation of Navarra (FUNA). FUNA is the owner of most of the works that make up the permanent collection of the Museum (Donation of María Josefa Huarte, Photographic collection, etc.).
FUNA and the University signed a gratuitous bailment contract for an indefinite period of time under which the University manages FUNA's artistic patrimony for museum purposes.
The Rectorate has appointed a Board of Trustees of the Museum composed of institutions and individuals of relevance in the art world and has endowed the Center with a Board of Directors similar to those that exist in the rest of the University's Centers.
The University of Navarra Museum does not have its own statutes as it is a center within the regulatory framework of the University of Navarra, the institution to which it belongs. These are the statutes of the University of Navarra.
