Theater Training Plan
with Liuba Cid

From September to November 2023
Fridays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Theatrical Training Plan is directed by Liuba Cid, and offers you the opportunity to work on all aspects of theatrical production and direction throughout the academic year in contact with professionals in the sector.  

Several theater groups are active at the university, formed entirely by students who are in charge of choosing, directing and staging their own productions. 

These university theater groups can participate in the Theater Training Plan directed by Liuba Cid, where they work on aspects such as directing actors, characterization, scenery, costumes, lighting and dramaturgy.

Theater directors attending the training plan will be able to participate, with the play they have been working on, in the University Theater Showcase that takes place at the Museum at the end of the academic year.

General program

• 14 hours of general training
• 14 hours of interpretation

LIUBA CID

Born in Havana, Cuba. Graduated in Performing Arts from the Instituto Superior de Arte de la Habana, Cuba, specializing in Stage Direction and Acting, she continued her postgraduate studies in Performing Arts at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, where she is pursuing her doctoral studies. He has directed more than 50 theatrical productions, dedicating much of his stage work to the contemporary reading of the Classics of the Golden Age. In 2005 he premiered the play "LA NOCHE DE LOS QUIJOTES" by Santiago Martín Bermúdez in the 28th Edition of the Almagro Classical Theater Festival.

He has published several titles on theater technique and specialized articles on theater.

She is currently a professor of Art Theory in the Department of Humanities at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Art History area. Director of the company Mephisto teatro, an Ibero-American theater project that integrates actors, designers and choreographers from Ibero-America and Spain. She is Editorial Coordinator of Ediciones Cumbres©.
