A charity concert organized in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Navarre, the Navarre Symphony Orchestra – Baluarte Foundation, and the Museo Universidad de Navarra.
The proceeds from ticket sales will go toward cancer research, which is commemorated annually on September 24.
The concert will open with the “Overture to Isacco” by Marianne Martinez, an 18th-century Viennese composer and one of the most renowned female musicians of her time. With an extensive body of work as both a composer and performer, Martinez pursued her career in an era when women had very limited access to creative work and professional musical careers.
The concert will continue with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Second Symphony, composed in 1802, when the composer was beginning to grapple with his hearing loss. During that time, the composer wrote the Heiligenstadt Testament to his brothers, in which he expressed with great intensity the suffering and isolation caused by his deafness, but also his determination to carry on through music. Actress Adriana Salvo will read excerpts from this document, interwoven with the movements of the symphony. The dialogue between Beethoven’s words and his music will offer a different perspective on a work marked by vitality and strength, written precisely during one of the periods of greatest personal uncertainty in the composer’s life.

Throughout her career, Celia Llácer has conducted orchestras such as The Dallas Opera, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Göttinger Symphonieorchester, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester, among others.
During the 2025–27 seasons, she served as assistant conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Previously, she collaborated with the Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester and the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège during the 2023–24 season alongside conductor Gergely Madaras, and served as principal conductor of the Junges Kammerorchester Ostschweiz during the 2024–25 season.
She has participated in prestigious international programs, including the most recent edition of the Ammodo Masterclass, where she conducted the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra alongside Maestro Iván Fischer. She also took part in the most recent edition of the Verbier Festival, collaborating with the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside renowned conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Lahav Shani. In 2024, she conducted the Gstaad Festival Orchestra as a participant in the Gstaad Conducting Academy. In 2023, she was selected for the Linda and Mitch Hart Institute at The Dallas Opera and participated in the Tanglewood Festival with the Young Artists Orchestra of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
ADRIANA SALVO
Adriana Salvo is an actress and theater artist. She divides her time between Navarre and Madrid, where she has worked in theater, film, and television, and where she has trained with professionals such as Lorena García de las Bayonas, Alfredo Sanzol, Anna Lann, and Miguel Bardem, among others.
She is the founder of Boga-Boga Produkzioak, where she works as an actress, creator, and producer, developing her own projects as well as collaborating with various artists and companies. Her notable works include *Llueven Vacas-Behi Jasa*, *Amak: Stories of Longing, Renunciation, or Sacrifice*, and the recently premiered *Women Singing from Their Balconies*, which is nominated for the 2026 Max Awards in the category of “Best Breakthrough Production.” She is currently immersed in the creation and production of her next show, *Hani: The Smile That Endures*.
