Big Band. Conservatorio Superior De Música De Navarra

This group was created in 2005 as a subject included in the syllabus of the Jazz Department of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra. It brings together the most outstanding students of the different instruments related to this style: trumpets, trombones, saxophones, guitar, piano, double bass, bass, drums and voice.
Since its creation, it has given concerts in numerous places, has participated in the UPNA Jazz Festival, in the cycle 1cJazz on 1d Street with Bob Sands, has accompanied the trombonist Marshall Gilkes and the singer Sabine Kuehlich.
The repertoire consists of arrangements of standards and original compositions made for the group by its director Iñaki Askunze, professor of arrangements, composition and Big Band at the center.

CONCERT REPERTOIRE

It will consist of arrangements of jazz-flamenco style themes by Chano Domínguez, Paco de Lucía and Chick Corea, and original compositions for Big Band with lyrics by Federico García Lorca. All of them have been made by the director of the group, Iñaki Askunze.
