Big Band. Conservatorio Superior De Música De Navarra

This group was created in 2005 as a subject included in the syllabus of the Jazz Department of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra. It brings together the most outstanding students of the different instruments related to this style: trumpets, trombones, saxophones, guitar, piano, double bass, bass, drums and voice.
Since its creation, it has given concerts in numerous places, has participated in the UPNA Jazz Festival, in the cycle 1cJazz on 1d Street with Bob Sands, has accompanied the trombonist Marshall Gilkes and the singer Sabine Kuehlich.
The repertoire consists of arrangements of standards and original compositions made for the group by its director Iñaki Askunze, professor of arrangements, composition and Big Band at the center.

CONCERT REPERTOIRE

Estará formado por arreglos de temas de estilo jazz- flamenco de Chano Domínguez, Paco de Lucía y Chick Corea,  y composiciones originales para Big Band con letras de Federico García Lorca. Todos han sido realizados por el director del grupo, Iñaki Askunze.
