THE SHOW

Beatriz Argüello's idea was to compose a score about the life and art of Isadora Duncan in which words, dance and music walk hand in hand, something far from a biographical montage. She therefore asked Hugo Pérez de la Pica to write a poetic text.

The poetry present in the words, dance and music make this work a journey of death and resurrection, of pain and hope. The audience will meet a woman in a state of constant search.

THE AUTHORS

Hugo Pérez de la Pica is a multifaceted and incessant creator as a poet, director, set designer, costume designer, visual artist and playwright. After studying Hispanic Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid and studying photography and film, he travels around the world looking for sources of traditional music, dance and costumes. In 1999 he began his theatrical production and in 2003 he founded in Madrid, with Irina Kouberskaya, the Teatro Tribueñe. In 2012 they both received the Ojo Crítico de Teatro 2012 Award from Radio Nacional de España for "their commitment to a special way of conceiving and materializing the theatrical event, while investigating new scenic languages, alternating already established texts with those of undiscovered authors".

Beatriz Argüello studied acting at the Escuela de Arte Dramático de Ángel Gutiérrez and with José Luis Gómez at the Teatro de La Abadía, being part of the first class of actors of this institution. She has been trained in classical and contemporary dance at the Royal Conservatory of El Escorial and has been a dancer with the Alabama Dance Theatre company in the United States.
