A Savage God
Author: Yasmina Reza
Directors: Juan Miguel Botía
Assistant directors: Francisco Beltramo and Gonzalo Sánchez
Theater group: Mutis por el foro
Duration: 75 minutes
Genre: Comedy
Two couples meet to resolve a conflict between their children in a civilized manner... but what begins as a polite and courteous conversation soon turns into a verbal battlefield. Between social correctness, subtle reproaches, and inflated egos, the adults reveal their frustrations, hypocrisies, and repressed desires, demonstrating that civility is only a thin veneer that can crack at any moment.
With sharp wit and dark humor, Yasmina Reza constructs a bitter and scathing comedy, where psychological violence replaces physical violence and the real battle is that of civilization against the most basic human instincts.
