THE WITCH LOVE. ISRAEL GALVAN
One of the most renowned dancers of today's flamenco transforms one of the most international pieces of Spanish music into dance.
Tickets: 24€ and 20€.
Duration: 70 minutes without intermission
Israel Galván is reincarnated as Eduarda de los Reyes to perform El amor brujo with Alejandro Rojas-Marcos on piano and Eduardo Lagos on vocals.
"El Amor Brujo if it is a dog, it bites me, I had it close and I didn't realize it. Maybe because I don't feel identified with its versions in the key of Flamenco Ballet or Dance. Dancing it with Falla's piano writing, feeling the vibration of the hammer on the string, stamping the terror in the midst of witchcraft. Returning to an idea of primary rehearsal. I want to dance the musical transition process that took place between Pastora Imperio's version and Antonia Mercé La Argentina". Israel Galván

ISRAEL GALVÁN
Israel Galvánde los Reyes (Seville, 1973) stands out for proposing his own expressive language, not only as a dancer, but also as a stage creator. A language unknown until now in flamenco dance, based on fragmentations, mixtures and sums of gestures.
National Dance Award 2005 in the modality of Creation granted by the Ministry of Culture "for his ability to generate in an art such as flamenco a new creation without forgetting the true roots that have sustained it to this day and that constitute it as a universal genre", he has received other awards such as the Bessie Award for an Outstanding Production of New York (2012), the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (2012) or the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters of France (2016).
