Exhibition with a selection of works from the Bergé Collection

This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Bergé Collection, the law firm Cuatrecasas and the Master in Curatorial Studies of the Museo Universidad de Navarra. 

The three entities share the objective of incorporating art into daily, business and professional life, since art contributes to the development of critical capacity, helps us to reflect on the reality that surrounds us through creativity, while enriching individual skills and those of the entire society it serves. 

This exhibition proposal has been selected among the projects presented by the students of the IV Promotion of the Master in Curatorial Studies. In Function and Fiction the curators, with the help of 9 contemporary art pieces chosen from the Bergé Collection, populate a space socially conceived as aseptic and businesslike to invite us to think about the human and functional relationship we have with spaces and objects of everyday use, to which these pieces give a new meaning. Questioning the function of space and objects from a more personal and intimate perspective with the help of art. 

The Master in Curatorial Studies complements its solid theoretical training with a practical dimension, very close to the current reality of art, marked by private and corporate collecting. This curatorial project of the Bergé-Cuatrecasas Collection responds to its search for professional opportunities for its students in innovative environments in which curatorship adds value.

The Bergé Collection, which collaborates with the Cuatrecasas law firm in its project to introduce contemporary art in the work environment, has sought in this call aimed exclusively at the students of the Master's program to renew the space from the fresh, current, rigorous and audacious viewpoint of curators in an intense period of training. The project Function and Fiction in fact complements the selection and proposed distribution of the pieces with a daring mediation plan that involves all the firm's employees and collaborators in the exhibition project and in the reflection it provokes. 

This proposal offers employees, collaborators, clients and visitors to the Cuatrecasas law firm a surprising experience that will not leave us indifferent.
