Cómo hacer cosas con... the classics
A conversation with Ignacio García and Carlos Mata
The idea of "classic" refers to the canon of masterpieces formed in a tradition. For those who are part of it, the classics are bearers of their historical memory and have the ability to illuminate today from yesterday.
But what is their value when they change context, can they be defended on the grounds of their universality, do they lose their relevance in our changed world, coming from a past so remote that it is alien to us?
The program Classics at the MUN Museum, in its seventh edition, is the occasion to address the ways and criteria for updating the classics in conversation with Ignacio García and Carlos Mata.
