Coda in Motion. February 10th
First session of Coda en Movimiento, the dance series of the Museo Universidad de Navarra, curated by Roger Salas.
The dubstep dance performer Marquese Scott will open the first session with a performance in theaters. Roger Salas will then present all the shows in the series and the first session will close with a screening of West SideStory (1961), directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins.

ROGER SALAS
Born in Holguín (Cuba) in 1950, he has been the dance and ballet critic of the newspaper El País for 28 years. As a critic and chronicler, he has been an illustrated witness of the most important events of the specialty worldwide, awarded and recognized by the ballet profession in the most demanding performance forums, from the Venice Biennale to the Mariinski Theater in St. Petersburg or the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. His lectures have reached the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
In addition to lecturing in different parts of the world, he is the author of numerous books and articles on dance and ballet.
MARQUESE SCOTT
Dance Performer born 1981 in Englewood, California, dances dubstep, a type of music that originates in London. His choreography incorporates elements of reverse movement, pupping and tutting.
Marquese plays with these elements and creates his own transitions that are translated into a performance that is recorded on video, forming an additional audiovisual piece. The locations are uniquely chosen by carefully selecting the backgrounds.
He has performed in many countries such as Singapore, Germany, France, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and China.
WEST SIDE STORY, 1961
Classic piece of the musical genre and winner of an Oscar for Best Picture in 1961. West Side Story is inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to tell the love story of Maria, sister of the Puerto Rican Sharks gang leader, and Tony, a former member of the Jets, the Sharks' rivals.
Directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins, it stars Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Rita Moreno, George Chakiris and Russ Tamblyn in the title roles. The music was composed by composer Leonard Bernstein.
The feature film has 10 Academy Awards; Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Art Direction, Best Music and Sound and Best Cinematography, Editing and Costumes.
