Lecture by Graham Burnett at the Fundación Telefónica venue

Date  June 10
 12.30 h

Graham Burnett, one of the leading advocates for care, is coming to the Fundación Telefónica space.

Thanks to the collaboration between the foundation and the MUN, the advocate for attention will speak about the technological changes that are currently having a negative impact on society and the attention economy, with the aim of restoring the fundamental role that each person plays in shaping the future of the world. Drawing on his work as a science historian and activist focused on cultivating human attention, this outstanding thinker and speaker will present, in an accessible way, his concept of “attensity”—the clarity we need to truly pay attention to our surroundings and to people—in contrast to distraction. He argues that this will set us free and thus reveal the immense value of people over artificial solutions.

This will be followed by a conversation with Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro, artistic director of the MUN, and a discussion with the audience.
