Coda in Motion. February 11th
Second session of Coda en Movimiento, the dance cycle of the Museo Universidad de Navarra, curated by Roger Salas.
The dubstep dancer Marquese Scott will open the second session with a performance in rooms. Roger Salas will then present the film "The Red Shoes", a 1948 film written, directed and produced by TheArchers, a team formed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, and the session will close with a screening of the feature film "The Red Shoes".

ROGER SALAS
Born in Holguín (Cuba) in 1950, he has been the dance and ballet critic of the newspaper El País for 28 years. As a critic and chronicler, he has been an illustrated witness of the most important events of the specialty worldwide, awarded and recognized by the ballet profession in the most demanding performance forums, from the Venice Biennale to the Mariinski Theater in St. Petersburg or the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. His lectures have reached the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
In addition to lecturing in different parts of the world, he is the author of numerous books and articles on dance and ballet.
MARQUESE SCOTT
Dance Performer born 1981 in Englewood, California, dances dubstep, a type of music that originates in London. His choreography incorporates elements of reverse movement, pupping and tutting.
Marquese plays with these elements and creates his own transitions that are translated into a performance that is recorded on video, forming an additional audiovisual piece. The locations are uniquely chosen by carefully selecting the backgrounds.
He has performed in many countries such as Singapore, Germany, France, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and China.
THE RED SLIPPERS
The Red Shoes, The Red Shoes, is a 1948 British feature film about ballet, written, directed and produced by TheArchers, a team formed by Michael Powell and EmericPressburger.
The film is the story of an evil shoe salesman who gives a pair of red sneakers to a girl, who cannot stop dancing. Her long and tiring dance culminates in death, but not before the salesman recovers the shoes to give them to some other unfortunate person.
Awarded Oscars for best art direction and music, it was nominated for best picture, screenplay and editing.
