THE CHOIR AND COLLABORATION The University Choir is a musical group formed entirely by students of the University of Navarra under the direction of Ekhi Ocaña, professor of Music at the Pablo Sarasate Conservatory, flutist, composer and director of the group Zorongo. The choir develops a continuous activity throughout the year. Their work and effort allows them to achieve an excellence that attracts the attention of professional artists such as Amancio Prada. Once again they come together thanks to the collaboration of the areas of the Museum and propose an anthological performance, free and open to the spark that arises around the passion for music. |

Amancio Prada The musical work of Amancio Prada (Dehesas, León, 1949) as a composer and performer has always had a literary base that, throughout his discography, has been forming an anthological journey through the peninsular lyric, from the cantigas of the first Galician-Portuguese troubadours (XII and XIII centuries), through the Romancero, Juan del Enzina, Jorge Manrique, San Juan de la Cruz, Santa Teresa and Rosalía de Castro, to contemporary authors. Among other awards, he has received the Castelao Medal of Galicia (1995), Castilla y León Prize for the Arts (2005), Grand Prix du Répertoire Sacem (Paris, 2008), Tenco Prize (San Remo, 2010) and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (2011). |
