Meeting-concert with Antonio Baciero
The Museum pays tribute to Antonio Baciero, renowned pianist, organist and researcher, in an event in which the historian Javier Burrieza, the chapel master of the Cathedral of Pamplona Aurelio Sagaseta and the journalist and cultural manager Alberto González Lapuente will participate. In a second part, Baciero will perform works by Chopin, Wagner and Liszt on the piano.

ANTONIO BACIERO
Antonio Baciero (Aranda de Duero, 1936) is a pianist, organist and researcher. He gave his first concert at the age of ten in Pamplona and at the age of 18 he finished his piano studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid with an Extraordinary Prize. He then continued his training in Italy and Austria.
Winning the Viotti Competition in 1961 marked the launching of his international career, which has led him to perform concerts in emblematic venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Imperial Chapel in St. Petersburg, the Palace of Versailles, the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, the Kunsthistoriches Museum in Vienna and the Library of Congress in Washington.
A specialist in Spanish Renaissance and Baroque music, he has promoted the restoration of historic organs and has made recordings of Spanish musicians, especially Antonio de Cabezón, whose complete works he has performed and recorded.
He is an honorary member of the Bach-Riemenschneider Institute, the Spanish Society of Music Therapy and the European Piano Teachers Association. He is also honorary president of the Sociedad Hispánica de Música Barroca. He has received numerous awards, such as the Adelfa National Prize, the Castilla y León Prize for the Arts and the Racimo de la Música. Aranda de Duero named him favorite son and the local School of Music bears his name.

ALBERTO GONZÁLEZ LAPUENTE
Alberto González Lapuente is coordinator of activities at the Fundación Guerrero and music critic for the newspaper ABC, as well as a regular contributor to its cultural supplement. He works at Radio Clásica (RNE) where he is currently in charge of the programs "Música de España" and "En otros lugares". He has been head of promotion of the Orquesta y Coros Nacionales de España and has collaborated with the publishing department of the SGAE. He is the author of the Diccionario de la música (Alianza Editorial, 2003) and has coordinated the volume on music in Spain in the 20th century in the collection Historia de la música en España e Hispanoamérica (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2013).
JAVIER BURRIEZA
Javier Burrieza (Valladolid, 1974) holds a PhD in History from the University of Valladolid and currently works in the Ramón y Cajal research program where he carries out research and teaching work. Previously, he has worked at the University of Alicante and the CSIC. In addition, she has directed a research focused on female spirituality in the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. She collaborates with the newspaper El Norte de Castillaand among her numerous publications are books and articles on the history of the Church and religious orders, especially on the Society of Jesus and the English colleges and seminaries in Castile.
AURELIO SAGASETA
Aurelio Sagaseta (Ituren, 1935) is maestro de capilla of the Cathedral of Pamplona, specialist in religious and ecclesiastical music. Ordained priest in 1960, he studied in Rome, where he premiered his work Natale Vasco (1968) and graduated from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music (1970), Gregorian (1970) and Musicology (1970). In 1971 he began his work as professor of Composition at the Pablo Sarasate Conservatory of Music of Navarra and in 1985 he obtained the chair. He was also director of the center between 1986 and 1988. He is currently president of the Spanish Association of Ecclesiastical Musicologists, Corresponding Academician of Fine Arts of San Fernando and conductor of choir and orchestra concerts. He is the author of several works, such as Órganos de Navarra, with I. Taberna; El Himno de Navarra, with M.Puy Huici and J.J. Martinena; and several voices in the Gran Enciclopedia de Navarra and in the Diccionario Hispano-Americano de la Música.
