Isabel Villanueva and her viola. A musical meditation. A mystical exhibition. An intimate conversation from the honesty and fragility of the human being.

Isabel Villanueva, the internationally acclaimed violist from Navarre, performs in this concert a wide range of compositions adapted for viola. All of them united by the ability to take us to the territory of ritual, of the encounter with what is beyond us.

From the medieval works of Hildegard von Bingen(O Virtus Sapientiae) to the baroque pieces of Johann Sebastian Bach(Partita n.2, BWV 1004 and including the Ciaconna) and Heinrich Ignaz Biber(the Passacaglia that closes the Rosary Sonatas), including several miniatures by György Kurtág(Games, Signs and Messages).

It is the result of the need to capture a vital process, the fruit of my evolution in recent years. Music has a component of healing and reunion in the deepest part of us. This work has reconnected me with a deep part of me in an important moment of my life.
