Encuentros is a proposal of contemporary dance and flamenco performed by Denis Santacana and Víctor Manuel who, together with the music of Víctor Guadiana, seek different ways of relating to each other.

Lost among the people I observe the branched drawing that has been left at my feet. I refill my glass and return my gaze to the reflection. I imagine a parallel reality in which this figure has made a different decision this time. With dissimulation, I pour the liquid and the drawing has changed again. Mentally wishing all my movements, obsessed by the idea that every small action, every decision, every encounter, could mean the beginning of an endless number of paths. I lower the glass and observe myself at the same starting point. What is the right decision? Maybe it's time to let the tide sweep me away.

DENIS SANTACANA
Born in San Sebastian in 1984, Santacana combines his training as a dancer with theater studies. In 2013 he graduated as a choreographer at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila in Madrid and completed a postgraduate degree at the London Contemporary Dance School. As a performer he has worked with companies nationally and internationally and in more than twenty productions with freelance choreographers of the current scene. Since 2007 Denis Santacana focuses on choreographic research and composition. Since 2013 the company has premiered 7 short pieces, 3 large format shows and 2 video dance works. In addition, he has made creations for shows for companies and groups such as Carmen Roche Ballet, Laboratorio 180º, Edge (LCDS), workshop of the European University of Madrid, etc. In 2017 the company settles definitively in the Basque Country where it receives the support of entities such as the area of culture of the Basque Government, Donostia Cultura, Dantzagunea, ONCE Foundation, CDART, La Fundición, Kurtzio Kultur Etxea, among others.
