KOR'SIA
Kor'sia was born in 2012 from the need to communicate through the body, to become visible as creators and performers. Its trajectory has had promising results participating in international festivals in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Holland and France.
The company thus expresses the meaning of its work:
"We want to create and express our opinions and emotions and with them make people fall in love, make them think, give them a fresh and new experience.
In the age of speed, acceleration and uncertainty, we have been abandoning cultural constructions, forged in affection and emotionality, which have accompanied and stabilized us throughout time. The reflection in the dance of this abandonment, has been transforming it into an instrument that appears more and more drawn as a mere technical, virtuous and image product.
We think that this chosen path leads us to the loss of the real meaning of the arts of movement, which in our opinion is nothing more or less than the transmission of cultural meanings that build us as human beings, using the body as a fundamental tool.
That is why we wish to consider in our creative process the reconstruction of the essential connections we found between body, mind, emotion, movement and cultural meaning, taking up some lost paths".
