The Artist is on Campus - Masterclass with Ernesto Arias

On the occasion of the performance of El animal de Hungría, its director, Ernesto Arias, will share in this conference the vicissitudes of this project born from the love for the Golden Age and the desire of a group of recent RESAD graduates to learn how to handle verse.

The complicity of the group and the freedom granted by not having news of a previous premiere of this unpublished text by Lope de Vega are perhaps key to the staging.  

ERNESTO ARIAS

His professional career is developed in the fields of interpretation, direction, teaching and verse and word consulting. He has also been co-director (along with Darío Facal) of the Festival Clásicos en Alcalá in the 2019 and 2020 editions. He has been director of numerous stagings of Golden Age texts and as an actor has worked in numerous productions in institutions and companies.

To all this he adds his extensive career as a speech and verse consultant in various productions, and his activity as a teacher. He currently teaches Vocal Technique, Oral Expression and Verse at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD) in Madrid.
