Theatrical make-up and characterization master class
Masterclass in theatrical makeup and characterization focused on the classic characters of the Golden Age and taught by Laura García, makeup artist of the musicals Beauty and the Beast, Forever King of Pop and The Lion King. Aimed at theater, film and exhibition sports professionals and amateurs.

Duration: 120 minutes
Part One: Theoretical concepts
Second part: Practical make-up exercises in the Theater's collective dressing room. Students will learn how to make up themselves and others.
This masterclass on characterization and theatrical makeup aims to bring the student closer to the world of characterization by taking a journey through the origin and development of makeup from the first civilizations to the present day.
It will focus more extensively and specifically on theatrical makeup and its history, with special emphasis on classical theater and more specifically in the Golden Age, giving as an example the most representative works of this period and explaining the importance of correctly capturing the characterization of the time in this context and the techniques to achieve it.
LAURA GARCÍA CANELO
Laura García is a makeup artist. She began her painting studies at the age of 11 years old and later she studied at the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos de Madrid. In 2001 she began her studies of Personal Image Consultancy, which she complemented with several courses of make-up and characterization in several schools in Madrid and at the Centro de Tecnología del Espectáculo. Since 2006 she develops her profession as a professional makeup artist working in fashion, TV, press and theater.
His work in musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Forever King of Pop or his publications in the newspaper El Mundo, among others, stand out. She is currently working on the musical The Lion King. She teaches makeup at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Fuenlabrada (URJC).
