Abe Rábade Trio. ONCE

Abe Rábade Trio presents in concert ONCE, his latest album, the eleventh, with eleven tracks

"ELEVEN paths I have been able to open around me; suggestive, sane and vigorous they let themselves walk slowly. I know that music can only truly be reached by music, but there are also keys that open the corridors for a richer journey."

THE CONCERT

ONCE, his eleventh album, has eleven tracks and takes advantage of the complex rhythm in eleven to compose and dedicate songs to Paco de Lucía ("Once para Paco"), make rhythmic experiments ("Once contra siete") or capture the rhythm of the drops of water falling from the laundry at his parents' house in the song "Gotas".

ABE RÁBADE TRIO

The trio emerged as a stable formation in Boston in 1996. Babel de Sons is their first album and includes the live performance of their participation in the International Jazz Groups Contest of Getxo in 2000, where they won the 2nd Prize. His second album, Symmetrieswas presented at the Havana Plaza Jazz Festival in 2002.

Playing on Light was considered by Cuadernos de Jazz magazine as Best Jazz Album in Spain in 2006. Zigurat (2010) and A Modo (2012) received the Award for Best Jazz Album in Spain granted by the Unión Fonográfica Independiente by popular vote.

VerSons (2013) is his first album of standards that includes baroque music and Galician popular music. Tránsitos ( 2015) is recorded with the Real Filharmonia de Galicia and in 2016 he releases ONCE, his eleventh album.

Abe Rábade Trio, piano, double bass and drums, bets for a strong rhythmic and harmonic exploration, without forgetting the manifest mood for the melodic. Music from such diverse origins filters in a natural way in a trio that, after years of intense work, continues to bet on the commitment to the intuition of its members and the complicity of its listeners.
