BIOGRAPHY
HAMISH FULTON
![]() |
Born in 1946 in London (England), he lives and works in Canterbury. He trained at Hammersmith College of Art, St. Martin's School of Art and the RCA Royal College of Art among other prestigious centers. Since the early 1970s, he has traveled the world on foot, 24 countries, hundreds of kilometers, several thousand steps. For him walking is fundamental, the ephemeral walking is the work of art. Fulton's work differs from American Land Art in its softness, intimacy and great economy of means. He photographs the landscape without intervention or artifice. |
