Legado is a show inspired by the history of flamenco, from its origins to its recognition as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. A journey through Spanish dance that crosses tradition and reaches the avant-garde.

The music, dance and aesthetics of flamenco make up a total art, which has been growing and expanding all over the planet until it has become a universal artistic expression in dialogue with other cultures of the world. Many of the musics emanating from popular knowledge and the most varied ethnic traditions have fed or communicated with flamenco and vice versa: from blues and jazz to the most diverse folklores from all over the planet.

Different palos such as farrucas, guajiras, tangos, alegrías, soleás or bulerías merge with stylized dance, the bolero school and updated folklore to offer us a show that travels the world through flamenco.

NEXUS COMPANY

Nexus Company is a producer of high quality dance performances designed for the stage but also for other contexts. The company has an extensive choreographic repertoire of various dance styles: contemporary, neoclassical and Spanish dance. Nexus is in charge of directing the Christmas Gala at the MUN. And it works with a complete network of dancers that includes many of the best dancers in Spain.

Nexus Company has two fundamental objectives: to preserve and transmit the legacy of excellence, aesthetics and choreographic knowledge of those who founded the art of dance and to develop the best talents available in composition and choreography, in dialogue with the current times.

This mission is accompanied by the project's commitment to creating and growing dance audiences, whether through performances, outreach programs, or the creative use of media and social networks.

TANIA MARTÍN and CARLOS ROMERO

Graduated with Honorable Mention and Extraordinary Prize at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma de Madrid in 2011 and 2013 respectively. After six years in the Ballet Nacional de España performing soloist and principal dancer roles and having performed in the best companies in Spain, Tania Martín and Carlos Romero decided to take a leap in their career and create their own project.

In 2018 they premiere their first show MuDanza Show with great success. They participate as choreographers and guest artists in different fashion shows of several Madrid Fashion Weeks (MBFW Madrid) together with designers Maison Mesa, Oteyza and Duyos. They choreographed the Gala number for the 2019/2020 Grand Prix season for the Olympic skaters Sara Hurtado and Kirill Khalyavin.

They perform the main roles in the work El sombrero de tres picos in the Antonio Márquez Company in 2019. Later they become part of the Antonio Najarro Company (former director of the National Ballet of Spain) as first dancers in the show Alento and are solo dancers in Querencia in addition, Carlos Romero is currently Principal Dancer in the company of Sergio Bernal. 

They are also prima ballerinas and assistant choreographers of the show Woman by Aaron Vivancos. They choreographed and participated as guest artists in the show Sounds of Spain by pianist Manolo Carrasco.

Currently, in addition to continuing to work as dancers, they direct the EDP (Professional Dance Studio) Tania Martín and Carlos Romero and the CDE (Spanish Dance Company) Tania Martín and Carlos Romero.

Carlos Romero has been awarded the Capri International Dance Prize in 2024.
