Throughout the course, the theater groups prepare a text of their choice, or, as in this edition, create a short text to be staged. As part of the Theater Training Plan, they have the opportunity to participate in the University Theater Showcase as the final result of their months of work.

SYNOPSIS: Pierre is a wealthy man, living in the center of Paris, owner of a prestigious publishing house. Every Wednesday night he has dinner with his friends, but it's not just any dinner, it's a "dinner of idiots". Each guest brings an idiot, and the one who brings the biggest idiot of all is the winner. Tonight Pierre has invited a real number one: François Pignon, an enthusiast of matchstick models, and also -although Pierre doesn't know it-, a specialist in screwing up... |

SYNOPSIS Sergio, Marcos and Iván have been friends for fifteen years despite their abysmal differences. One day, Sergio, a doctor with a passion for contemporary art, tells Marcos with great emotion about his latest acquisition: a white painting with white transversal lines, a work by the renowned artist called Antrios, and for only five million euros! Marcos can't stand his friend's extravagances any longer and an increasingly heated argument ensues. When Ivan learns what has happened, he doesn't know who to support for fear of breaking their friendship. This discussion triggers a string of claims and confessions that they had never referred to before. Who will prevail over whom? What can Sergio see in such a play? What doesn't Marcos see? Will Iván be able to bear so much tension? |

In the UNIVERSITY THEATER SHOW, the theater groups of the University participate, who work throughout the year under the guidance of Liuba Cid.
BIOGRAPHY
Liuba Cid
Academic of the Performing Arts of Spain and Doctor cum laude in Arts and Humanities from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. This teacher and researcher in visual and performing arts, is also a professor of arts theory at the URJC. Prolific in her knowledge and her work, she is director of the Cía Iberoamericana Mephisto Teatro, and collaborates with the Museum in the formation of the University's theater groups.
