After El Salto and Baile de Bestias, Jesús Carmona, recently appointed Director of the Ballet Español de la Comunidad de Madrid, closes his triad of shows based on exploration and inner knowledge with this new production.

Súper viviente is based on and inspired by dissociative disorders, mental disorders that involve a lack of continuity between thoughts, memories, environments, actions and identity.

With dissociative identity disorder as an excuse, he will explore the change in the sense of self, in his behavior and, especially, in motor function - his strong point as a performer. What would happen if the best dancer of the moment faced different physical and psychological difficulties to discover the limits of the human?

A show in which scientific research and the support of a psychologist's office will be fundamental for the creation of something that, we know, will go beyond the stage.

JESUS CARMONA
Born in Badalona in 1985, he began his flamenco training at the age of 7. Graduated in Spanish Dance and Flamenco by the Instituto de Teatro y Danza in 2003, he expanded his artistic training with the most relevant performers and creators of the time. He is part of companies such as El Güito, Nuevo Ballet Español or Antonio Canales, among others. In 2006 he joined the cast of the National Ballet of Spain, where he reached the category of Principal Dancer and participated as a guest artist in subsequent years.

His restlessness as a creator and performer drives him to leave his position within the BNE to create his own proposals, thus giving rise to the Jesús Carmona Dance Company, in addition to collaborating as a creator for projects of other artists and companies.

Among other awards, he has the Benois de la Danse Award 2021, National Dance Award 2020, RTVE Critical Eye Award 2019, two MAX Awards for 'Baile de Bestias', for best show and best performer in 2022.
