In this adaptation of No hay burlas con el amor, the metric and rhythm that Calderón de la Barca gave to this comedy is respected, in which all kinds of situations that occurred in the love affairs of that time converge in an amusing and sometimes hilarious way, and which today invite us to reflect with humor on the human condition and the evolution of social relations.
As a differentiating element, we have sought to bring the verse closer to the public by using "puppets" that emerged from months of research by the director, the actors and the stage designer, so that the spectator enjoys, laughs and is moved by them and by the life that the actors give them, making this unique proposal converge with the situations and the scenic language that Calderón masterfully wrote and proposed more than 300 years ago. |
