Welcome to Baltimore, 1962. Rythm and Blues fills the air, hairstyles are taller than dreams and a girl with a huge heart is about to change everything.
Tracy Turnblad, an optimistic and energetic teenager, dreams of dancing on The Cady Collins Show, the most famous TV show in town, but when she breaks through, she discovers that behind the glitz and dreams lie a multitude of social prejudices that she is not willing to tolerate.

THE TEACHERS
Javier Muñoz (Director)
Producer, composer, theater director and author of musicals. In 2000 he founded Jana Producciones. He has written, composed and directed several musicals such as Antígona tiene un plan, which received 2 national MAX awards for the Performing Arts and 9 other nominations; Blancanieves Boulevard, Best Musical 2010 and nominated in 10 categories for the National Musical Theater Awards 2010; En nombre de la Infanta Carlota, recommended by the magazine Teatros 2003 as one of the best productions of the year in Spain; and La leyenda del Unicornio, adapted to animated film, nominated for the Goya Awards and award for best literary support at the Cartagena Film Festival. He has trained many musical artists in Spain.
| Samuel Blanco Specialized in gestural theater and movement. He has trained with masters such as María del Mar Navarro and Andrés Hernández, Odin Teatret, Graham Dixon, Alexander Kulkov, Will Keen, Ernesto Arias, Johnny Melville, Ángel Gutiérrez, Yayo Cáceres, Lilo Baur and Marcelo Díaz, among others. He is an actor with the company La Puerta Estrecha and Almaviva Teatro. He has staged plays by authors such as Shakespeare, Lorca, Chekhov, Durrenmatt, Ibsen, Sartre, Pinter or Camus, as well as contemporary creators and his own collective creations. In television he has participated in different productions of TVE, TVG, Antena 3 and Cuatro. |
Guillermo Gonzalez Musical director, composer, arranger and instrumentalist. He has been in charge of musical direction in musical, theater and dance productions. Among them, Forever King of Pop (tribute to Michael Jackson, endorsed by the Jackson Family Foundation, with a tour of several years in Spain, Europe and America), Flashdance, Adán y Eva en Broadway, Hoy no me puedo levantar, Edipo Rey (by Jorge Lavelli, Festival de Mérida), Medea (by Tomaz Pandur, Festival de Mérida), The Spanish Trip and Federico Reloaded (both by Carlos Chamorro). He has also worked for El Intérprete (with Asier Etxeandia), El amor está en el aire... (by Félix Sabroso), El Eunuco (by Pep Antón Gómez) and Blancanieves Boulevard (by Javier Muñoz). |
| Laura García (Choreographer) From a family of artists, her father is a guitarist and her mother is a dancer with whom she began her training in Classical and Spanish Dance. She continued her studies in London, New York and Los Angeles with different teachers and urban and Jazz styles. She has choreographed and danced for artists such as Malú, Marta Sánchez, Merche and Alejandro Sanz, for music videos and tours. She has been choreographer and teacher for the TV show POPSTARS and musicals such as "The Best of 80's" and "The Beatles the Musical" among others. She was a member of the company MAYUMANA touring the world for 4 years, where she developed her other passion, percussion. He currently combines dance with music, plays drums in several Rock bands and is preparing the new tour of BAREI (participant in Eurovision 2016). |
Victoria Zazo She studied music and singing at the conservatory, specializing in lyrical singing. She later trained in modern singing, specializing in musical theater with different teachers. She also receives training as an actress, studying Dramatic Art at Wylliam Layton's Laboratory and doing a multitude of parallel courses. She has been teaching both drama and singing for more than ten years and has participated in numerous didactic projects focused on the dissemination of music and performing arts. |
