 Mofa & Befa barge into a prestigious professor's academic lecture on Stratford's famous author for bringing the most overlooked scenes to the forefrontThe most cruel laughter, the most shameful intimacies, the most dishonest acts and the most cunning villainies will be shown by the comedy machine of Mofa & Befa. Murderers, beggars, buffoons, conspirators, cuckolds, snitches, opportunists, pimps, torturers and other characters that never have the limelight, will now have the opportunity to show themselves in the foreground.

The play uses materials from "Macbeth", "Richard III", "Pericles, Prince of Tyre", "King Lear", "Hamlet", "Julius Caesar", "Romeo and Juliet", "Othello", "As you wish", "Cymbeline" y "Measure for measure".

 


 Quico Cadaval is a Galician narrator, director, playwright and actorHe was the driving force behind the radio theater movement that emerged in Galicia in the nineties. He began acting at the end of the seventies at the Centro Dramático Galego and in the mid-eighties he founded his own company: "Centro Dramático Galego".O Moucho Clerc". He is the author of texts such as "The Clandestine Codex" (1988), "Or rouxinol from Brittany"(1991) for his company or "Terrifying"(2002), winner of the María Casares award for the best original text of the year. His close relationship with the Centro Dramático Galego has given rise to several shows, among which are "O ano do cometa"(2005), an adaptation of the work by Álvaro Cunqueiro, and "Christmas Eve"(2008) by Shakespeare. He has also directed the plays "Lonely West" (2011) by Martin McDonagh or the "Opera dos tres reàs"(2011) by Bertolt Brecht. In his long career he has received six María Casares Awards (2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008 y 2015), awarded by the Galician Actors and Actresses Association.and a Max Award for Best Playwright in Galician Language (2011) for this work.

Mofa & Befa emerged as a contemporary comedy command eighteen years ago with a show about the topics of Galician theater that ironically was called "Para ser exactos" (To be exact). After that came "Manifesto para un teatro perralleiro", "FinisMundi Circus", "Cultura para dar e tomar" and "Sempre ao lonxe". For this production, the duo, formed by Evaristo Calvo and Víctor Mosqueira, has the fundamental contribution of Quico Cadaval.
