DRAMATIZED READING OF THOSE WHO ENTER WITHOUT PAYING IN COMEDY
The so-called short theater or minor theater of the Golden Age is the protagonist of this dramatized reading in the exhibition rooms of the Museum, a stage activity whose chamber format configures a timeless, intimate dialogue between the contemporary work exhibited and the classic text.

The program will be composed of the loa, the jácara, the entremés, the baile and the mojiganga; minor genres that were part of the program of the representations of the XVII century, being inserted between the different acts before, during and at the end of the representation of the comedies. Great authors such as Calderón, Lope, Cervantes, Lope de Rueda or Quiñones de Benavente, wrote these little jewels of our golden theater.

Born in Havana, Cuba. She holds a degree in Performing Arts from the Instituto Superior de Arte de la Habana, specializing in Stage Direction and Acting. She continued her postgraduate studies in Performing Arts at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, where she is pursuing her doctoral studies. He has directed more than 50 theatrical productions, dedicating much of his stage work to the contemporary reading of the Classics of the Golden Age. Among them are Llámame Clásico, commissioned by the Museum of the University of Navarra, Somnus Greco, commissioned by the Greco Foundation 2014 premiered at the Teatro de Rojas in Toledo in 2014 and Donde hay agravios no hay celos, by Francisco de Rojas, premiered at the Festival de Teatro Clásico de Cáceres in 2012. He has also participated in the Almagro Classical Theater Festival with numerous stagings such as Delirium o el arte de las restauraciones invisibles, in 2008, Fuenteovejuna in 2009 and La noche de los quijotes in 2005. He has published in the publishing houses SM, Orbis, Alianza Editorial and Ediciones Cumbres, different titles of theatrical technique among which stand out: Diccionario de Teatro and Cien Argumentos Teatrales, among others. In 1994 he received at the Chicago American Community Theatre Festival, the award for Best Staging with his musical version of Azorín's play Old Spain, as well as other awards such as; Best Scenic Space, Best Musical Adaptation and Best Costume Design. He has also been a member of the jury of the National Prize of Dramatic Literature 2006 (INAEM). She is currently Director of the company Mephisto Teatro, professor of the Degree in Visual Arts and Dance at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and editorial coordinator of Ediciones Cumbres©. |
