Moisés P. Sánchez, a musician of surprising imagination, awarded within and beyond our borders and with a growing international projection, presents this musical dissertation in which music and philosophy go hand in hand.
On the occasion of the first centenary of the homonymous book by Ludwig Wittgenstein, Moisés P. Sánchez presents this proposal in 2021 characterized by the logical-compositional construction of the score, the use of prepared and electroacoustic piano and musical references to the concepts that have made Wittgenstein's Treatise one of the most influential books of 20th century thought.
Wittgenstein, in his first stage and more specifically in the work that concerns us, promulgates that through language we give form to our thoughts, and that these are after all a logical representation of what we are capable of expressing through it. It is very interesting to extrapolate this conception to musical composition and to the creation of a piece that is interconnected with this treatise, since in music, the languages that one masters are the fence of which one is a prisoner in order to be able to express one's ideas from a theoretical point of view, but also from an emotional point of view.
In Tractatus, the musician from Madrid focuses on all these concepts through the piano in multiple forms, in order to transmit on stage the solitary process of the philosopher, the logical and intuitive creation of his thought in real time through the knowledge of the different compositional languages: classical, jazz, electronic, dodecaphonism, free improvisation... In short, a modern, contemporary and unambiguous language.
