900 schoolchildren participate in the III Painting Contest "The Secret Life of a Painting", organized by the Museum
Students from 18 schools and academies participated in the contest, held in collaboration with the Morrás Cebrián Foundation, and the winning works will be on display until June 10 in the Museum's workshops.

To encourage the creation of contemporary art and creativity in children and young people. This is the goal of the school painting contest The Secret Life of a Painting , which this Friday awarded the prizes to the winners of this third edition.
In the contest, organized by the Museo Universidad de Navarra in collaboration with the Morrás Cebrián Foundation, 900 students from 18 schools and academies between the ages of zero and 18 participated. Of these, 45 were selected to move on to the next phase, in which the three finalists in each category were chosen.
The artists Javier Basiano, Eugenia Llull and Juan Carlos Pikabea formed the jury and the awards ceremony was attended by Javier Arana, deputy director of the Museum, and Fernando Echarri, head of the educational area of the center.
The winners of this edition were Guillermo de Andrés, from Colegio Miravalles-El Redín, winner of the Infant Education Award (0-3 years); Andrea Almagro, from the Teresian School Foundation, winner of the Infant Education Award (4-6 years); Inés Fustián, from Colegio Irabia-Izaga, winner of the Primary Education Award (6-12 years); Noemí Ibañez Albero, from the Teresian School Foundation, Award in Secondary Education (12-18 years); Lucía María Ruiz Ullate, from San Cernin School, Award in Baccalaureate and FP Middle Grade; and Sheimi Sakihara Arana, from the School of Art and Superior School of Design, Award to the Academies of Painting and FP of Artistic Specialties.
The winners of the Infant Education categories received a cash prize of 50 euros, while the Primary Education category received a prize of 100 euros, the Secondary Education category received a prize of 200 euros and the Baccalaureate/PhD Intermediate Level category received a prize of 300 euros. For its part, the prize for the best participant of the Academies and PF of artistic specialties is endowed with 900 euros. Likewise, the schools or academies whose students have won will receive 300 euros for a visit and a school program at the Museum and 200 euros for artistic-educational material.
The 45 selected paintings will be on display until June 10 in the Museum's workshops, during regular opening hours, free of charge. In total, the educational area of the Museum has received this year 3,500 schoolchildren from 44 centers, who have participated in various programs and activities.
