The new generation of curators is already being trained in the classrooms and spaces of Museo Universidad de Navarra. The second edition of the Master in Curatorial Studies, the first official postgraduate course in Spain for training in curatorial studies, began on September 30. This year, 19 students from 11 nationalities are enrolled, including Spain, Colombia, the United States, Russia, El Salvador and Mexico, among others. Russia, El Salvador and Mexico, among others.

Among them is Manuel Gamaza, 28 years old and a native of Santander, who explains that he chose this postgraduate course because he has "a special interest in bringing the language of the artists to the public. Also the fact that the MCS gives you the opportunity to combine the academic and practical part has been decisive".

In this sense, her colleague Polina Podgoretskaya, 23 years old and from Russia, also values the "basis" that the master's degree provides for curatorial practice: "Studying inside a museum is a unique opportunity. Added to this are the international internships, curatorial trips ...".

The student, an Art History graduate, seeks during these months to "acquire as much knowledge as possible, talk to professionals, become more professional and, therefore, get a job as soon as possible". For Gamaza, his goal is "to broaden his knowledge in the curatorial field, toknow how to apply art theory to different curatorial projects and to learn how to take this knowledge to education, to art didactics. In short, to be able to consider myself a curator".

After the welcome session, in which the students were given a guided tour of the exhibitions and learned about the practical aspects of the Master's program, they began the first week of classes, as well as the subject Museo Lab, in which they become residents of different areas of the Museum.

"It has been very intense, with very productive classes. I found the campus wonderful and the team of professors and teachers fascinating," says Gamaza enthusiastically. Podgoretskaya also highlights "the quality of the University, all the technical support and tools it offers you to study. The library, for example, has fascinated me. I also emphasize the willingness of all the professionals working at MCS".
