Premiere of "Control" by the artist Javier Martin at the Museo Universidad de Navarra
The choreographer and dancer Javier Martín will premiere "Control", a contemporary dance show, next Friday, February 20 at 8 p.m. at the Museum's theater. The work is a co-production of Museo Universidad de Navarra and the consulting firm Artibus, whose work-in-progress was presented in the last edition of the Festival Madrid en Danza, with a favorable reception by critics.
With a scientific background and multiple conceptual interests, Martín proposes his solo-improvisation and subsequent debate as a shared experience. In "Control" he develops the concept of transformation to create a solo. The artist wants to "discover how this psychic energy is structured in the body; to find out how this energy remains immobile, potential, patterning and changing the location of the movement".
Collaborate and learn with artists and scientists of the current scene to develop sensitivity in the body and achieve a greater awareness of movement, working everything related to the creative process and staging.
Tickets are now on sale at the Museum's ticket office and students receive a 20% discount (Prices: 8 and 10€).
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed on Mondays).
