The Museum reports on its reopening plan after the closure period for Covid-19
The center is preparing the return to activity of the building from the week of May 18, International Museum Day, with the reopening of the terrace with 50% of its capacity.
The Museo Universidad de Navarra begins its de-escalation period during the week of March 18, International Museum Day, following the indications of the state and local authorities and the advisory committee of the University of Navarra. From this Wednesday, the terrace of the Museum reopens, with 50% of its capacity and, foreseeably, from May 26 will reopen its doors to visitors. During the first two days, the entrance will be exclusively for Friends of the Museum. The Museum's opening date is still pending final approval by the University's occupational risk assessment and advisory committee.
The Museum reopens its doors to the city with the purpose of offering a place of recreation and culture, aligned with the vocation of service of the University of Navarra. The center has been strictly adapted to the conditions necessary for the reopening, always with caution and prudence, taking extreme security measures, and limiting the capacity beyond what is required by the regulations in order to make the visitor feel comfortable and safe, and enjoy the experience.
TERRACE AND VISITORS
The Museum Terrace will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm. From May 25, the restaurant will also be accessible, with 30% of the capacity and will offer take away service so that diners can also enjoy their dishes at home. The restaurant offers customers a telephone customer service (673 330 048), for restaurant service and food pick-up.
As for visits to the Museum's exhibitions and collection, from May 26, the schedule from Tuesday to Saturday will be from 10 am to 1 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm. The hours from 10 a.m. to 12 noon are reserved for senior citizens and vulnerable persons. On Sunday, the usual opening hours will be maintained, from 12:00 to 14:00. Monday, both terrace and restaurant and Museum, will be closed as during the year.
The visits will be carried out in compliance with the indications of the state and local authorities, as well as the University's advisory committee. These regulations will be displayed at all times to the visitor through specially prepared signage . Seating capacity is limited even more strictly than the limits set by the regulations in order to enhance the experience and promote the safety of visitors by facilitating their free walk through the Museum. Seating is limited to 250 people. Museum staff will be responsible for the control of this capacity.
Those who wish to visit the Museum will be able to arrange a visit by telephone (948 425 700) and shortly through the website (museo.unav.edu). It will be mandatory to wear a mask, and visitors will not be able to access the visit without it. The Museum will also inform and orient the public by means of signage installed in stairways, corridors, elevators, restrooms, reception and reception.
ENTRY WITHOUT FIXED PRICE
The Museum wants to be open to the whole city and has enabled a free entrance, with no fixed price, and it will be the visitors who decide their voluntary contribution to support the work of cultural diffusion of the center. It also offers the public the possibility of supporting the Museum and culture through the Friends of the Museum program. Payment can be made by credit card or cash, although it is advisable to pay by telematic means.
The center emphasizes thatthe adaptation and conditions are a living process that will be developed hand in hand with our visitors and their advisors with the support and supervision of the management.
