El Museo Universidad de Navarra edita las nueve primeras publicaciones del programa “Tender puentes"
The Museo Universidad de Navarra publishes the first nine publications of the program "Tender puentes".
"Tender Puentes" is a program that has been running since 2006. It is based on the photographic collection of the Museo Universidad de Navarra Collection and curated by Santiago Olmo and Rafael Levenfeld. To date, it has nearly 400 pieces executed ad hoc by 14 contemporary artists and 9 publications already published and another 5 in production.
Various contemporary authors of national and international prestige are being invited to study and reflect on the foundational period of photography, with the aim of exploring and identifying links that unite them and issues that distance them. The invited authors develop their photographic projects in dialogue with the key pieces of universal photography contained in the Museum's Collection.
Roland Fischer, Lynne Cohen, Jordi Bernadó, Sergio Belinchón, Gabriele Basílico, Xavier Ribas, Jorge Ribalta, Carlos Cánovas, and national award winners María Bleda and José María Rosa, Joan Fontcuberta and Javier Vallhonrat, are some of the artists participating so far, projecting their gaze on the history of photography.
The program Tender Puentes includes a series of conferences and workshops with the authors, as well as the exhibition of individual projects by these artists once the series is completed at Museo Universidad de Navarra, in 2014.
Five new publications already in production
The next publications to come out soon will be those of Javier Vallhonrat himself and Jorge Ribalta, who delivered his work -entitled "Scrambling"- last May to Museo Universidad de Navarra. Also in production is a trilogy by Ángel Fuentes, Manuel Brazuelo and Martí Llorens on ancient developing procedures with current techniques.
