The Museo Universidad de Navarra has organized for this summer the "Hi Artist!" urban camps for children. This educational proposal aimed at children between 5 to 10 years old, from 3rd grade of kindergarten to 5th grade of primary school, promotes learning art and aims to develop creativity and the ability of expression of the youngest in Spanish and English.

"Hi Artist!" will be held at the Museum from Monday to Friday the weeks of June 22 and 29 and August 24 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. There will be thirty activities grouped into five categories (one for each day): The artists' classroom, Long live the theater, Everybody dance, Nature is an artist and The children's museum.

The first day will be dedicated to creativity in the plastic arts, with workshops on artists' costumes, plastic expression and modeling, as well as origami and constructive games. The second day, with ¡Viva el teatro!, will feature Japanese kamishibai theater stories and a dramatized reading of"The Little Prince" in English, among other things. ¡Todos a bailar! will focus the day on creativity in movement with workshops and dance performances, games on campus, and even a flashmob at the Museum. On the fourth day, the focus will be on observing the environment with a botanical tour of the campus, bird watching and artistic creation using recycled materials. Finally, The Kids' Museum will close the camp with exhibition and performance workshops using the works on display at the contemporary art center.

"There is a need, especially in summer when there are no more classes, to find an educational space where personal development and learning are encouraged in a fun way," explains Fernando Echarri, head of the educational area of Museo Universidad de Navarra. These camps reinforce " training in dance, theater, art and the environment, facets that are not usually worked on together in schools," emphasizes Fernando Echarri.

The "Hi Artist!" camps have a limited capacity of 25 places per week and cost €85, €75 for Museum Members. Those interested should register at educacionmuseo@unav.es, through the website or at the Museum's reception desk.
