Florencia Musmarra, a student of the Executive Master's Degree in Corporate Reputation at the University of Navarra, was the winner of the VI edition of the contest La Voz de tu Facultad, promoted by the area Campus Creativo the Museum of the academic center. For the event, 15 finalists were selected from all the university's faculties to choose, with the votes of students, professors and employees attending the final gala, the best singer on campus. Musmarra, a native of the Argentine city of Mar del Plata, participated on behalf of the Madrid Campus. In second place was Martina Durán, from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Nutrition, and the third place winner was Sofía Faulín, from ISSA.
The Argentinean won with her interpretation of Gloria Gaynor's I will survive. For Musmarra, the grand finale was an opportunity to reconnect with music. "On stage I felt a vocation, an enormous passion, a desire to leave everything in that song and to have fun with and for the audience. I felt the desire to continue doing it forever," said the student, who has been singing since she was seven years old, although she had been away from the stage for several years.
The selection process began in January and, starting in March, the finalists received training in musical interpretation and dance by Jana Producciones in Pamplona and Madrid. For the winner, the professionalism and accompaniment throughout the event by the Museum and the production company was very important. "Each session surprised me even more because I was discovering changes in my voice, in the song, and in my ways of approaching it," she explains.
He also emphasizes that the experience was lived with a lot of companionship and affection among the participants: "The important thing was to give the best of each one so that the public enjoyed themselves and had a good time," he concludes.
