This morning took place the signing of the agreement between the MNAC and Museo Universidad de Navarra. The two directors, Pepe Serra and Miguel López-Remiro respectively, haveformalized their intention to carry out joint actions that contribute to expand art and culture to society.

This agreement represents an extension of the existing agreement between the MNAC and the Photographic Fund of the University of Navarra; and responds to the recent creation of Museo Universidad de Navarra, which includes this fund, as well as a new collection of works of art, the result of a recent donation, consisting of 47 pictorial and sculptural pieces from the avant-garde and contemporary periods. The Museo Universidad de Navarra is a museum of contemporary art and of a university nature. Work has just begun on its construction, on the Pamplona campus, and it will open its doors in 2014.
