The Museum inaugurates the first edition of the series Cartographies of Music

The series is part of the performing arts program and will feature 3 concerts

The program of this first edition of the Cartographies of Music series will feature four concerts in total, including a piano recital by the Bilbao musician Joaquín Achúcarro, three colloquiums between the composer and Doctor of Art History, Alfredo Aracil, with artists such as Achúcarro himself and other composers like Teresa Catalán, José Antonio Orts and the National Music Prize winner, Tomás Marco. The closing session will be a film marathon moderated by Carlos Muguiro, a specialist in the study of documentary cinema.

The price of the complete cycle varies between 45 and 65€, although tickets for concerts only (Piano recital by Joaquín Achúcarro 35 and 45€; Budapest Strings Orchestra concert The Museo Universidad de Navarra will inaugurate next Wednesday, March 4th the first edition of the Cartografías de la Música cycle. With an annual periodicity, this activity, framed within the performing arts program, will offer for four days concerts, colloquiums and film sessions aimed at the general public.

18 and 28 € is what the concert of Barcelona Modern Project will cost. The colloquiums and film sessions will be free and with free admission until full capacity is reached. Tickets are already on sale at the Museum's box office and on the website of El Corte Inglés.

12.00: "A dos voces": conversation between the musician Alfredo Aracil, composer, and Luis de Pablo, composer.

 

19.30: Opening concert of the Budapest Strings Orchestra

Thursday, March 5th

 

12.00: "A dos voces": conversation between Alfredo Aracil and the pianist Joaquín Achúcarro.

 

19.30: Piano recital by Joaquín Achúcarro

Friday, March 6

 

11.00 a.m.: "Soli-due-tre", chamber music in the exhibition areas by Barcelona Modern Project

 

12.00: "Music and the visual arts", colloquium with the composers Teresa Catalán, José Antonio Orts and the National Music Prize, Tomás Marco, moderated by Alfredo Aracil.

 

18.00: Performances by Javier Martín in the exhibition corridor.

 

19.30: Concert by Barcelona Modern Project

Saturday, March 7th

 

10.00: "Sound experiments in Spanish cinema": film sessions curated by Carlos Muguiro.
