The Museum is presented at ARCO Madrid
The Museo Universidad de Navarra has presented its museum project at the International Contemporary Art Fair ARCO Madrid 2015.
During the ceremony, Valentín Vallhonrat explained the mission of the art center and its exhibition program; José Manuel Garrido explained how the performing arts are programmed in the new theater; and, finally, Rafael Llano explained the public programs and the objectives that the Museum has set for research and teaching.
International Congress of University MuseumsThis presentation was part of the International Congress of University Museums, an activity programmed by the Museum's academic area, whose second session will be held on Friday, January 27, at the Museum itself in Pamplona. During the congress, the directors of the main university museums of contemporary art in Europe, Latin America and the Anglo-Saxon world will meet for the first time to analyze the situation of these centers, establish research networks and exhibition spaces through joint collaboration projects. Participants include Paul Greenhalgh, director of the Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts(University of East Anglia); Chus Martinez, director of the Institute of Art of Basel; Patrick Werkner, director of collections and archives at the Universität für Angewandte Künste (Vienna, Austria); Nicola Kalinsky, director of the Barber Institute of Fine Arts(University of Birmingham); Hans-Dieter Nägelke, director of the Architekturmuseum(Technische Universität Berlin); Friederike Wappler, director of the Kunstsammlung dere Ruhr Universität Bochum and Cuauhtémoc Medina, chief curator of the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
