The Museo Universidad de Navarra reopens the doors of the building to the general public on Thursday, May 28, after dedicating the days of Tuesday and Wednesday to the Friends of the Museum. It will also be possible to access the restaurant, with 30% of the capacity and take away service to enjoy their dishes from home. The center already resumed its activity in the building on May 20 with the reopening of the terrace, with 50% of the capacity, and following the state and local indications, as well as those of the advisory committee of the University of Navarra.

NEW PROJECTS

The Museum invites the public to visit its Collection, the Ortiz-Echagüe Space and the exhibition Universesby David Jiménez. To explore it from new perspectives, on June 6, the artist will give the children's creativity workshop Imagined Universe. The format will be online and registration, free of charge, opens to the general public this Thursday. Museum Members can apply from this Monday. Based on the observation of a hundred photographs, children will be able to explore the relationships between the images in the exhibition, guided by the artist himself.

At the same time, the Museum is working on its new projects, which will see the light of day in June. As a result of the reflection on themes that have surfaced during the confinement, the dancer and choreographer Jon Maya, invited by the artistic direction of the Museum's Performing Arts Department, has developed a new dance show, which will be presented in three different phases.

Titled Behind Closed Doors. The dance of confinementthe project is presented as a trilogy that will address different themes that have surfaced in relation to the current situation and the museum's work-spaces. The first two parts will be presented on June 12 and 19, in video format, for digital diffusion, and the third, if the right conditions are met, will be premiered next fall at the theater, in the cycle Museo en Danza. The show seeks to be a bridge to the 'new normal'. Also in June there will be live online sessions with the artist to bring the project closer to the public.

The Museum is preparing for June 25 the exhibition El resto. This virtual-presential exhibition brings together works by Irma Alvarez-Laviada, Miren Doiz, Esther Gaton, Guillermo Mora and Wilfredo Prieto, and proposes a reflection on the role of the artist, the creative process and the genesis of the work of art. The exhibition is the result of the curatorial award of the Master in Curatorial Studies taught at the Museum. On the opening day there will be an online colloquium open to the public with the artists and curators of the exhibition.

FREE ENTRY

Visits are conducted in compliance with current regulations and the capacity has been limited even more strictly than the limits set by the regulations to improve the experience and promote visitor safety by facilitating their free walk through the Museum. The use of masks is mandatory and the public will be informed and oriented by means of signage installed in stairways, corridors, elevators, restrooms, reception and reception.

Admission is free, to make it easier for everyone to access. It will be the visitors themselves who will decide their voluntary contribution to support the work of cultural dissemination of the center. The public is also offered the possibility of supporting the Museum and culture through the Friends of the Museum program. Payment can be made by card or in cash, although payment by electronic means is recommended.

The Museum continues with its #MUNencasa campaign, to continue bringing culture and art closer to homes through social networks, web and blog; and also with the #AsómatealMUN initiative, to communicate its upcoming events and activities.

SCHEDULES

Museum: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. The hours from 10 am to 12 noon are reserved for the elderly and vulnerable people. On Sunday it maintains its usual schedule, from 12 to 14 hours. Monday, closed. Visits can be arranged by telephone (948 425 700) and soon through the website. To access the building it is mandatory to wear a mask.

Terrace: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 am to 10:00 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Monday, closed.

Restaurant: Sunday to Thursday, from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm. Monday, closed. The restaurant has made available to the customer the telephone service (673 330 048), for restaurant service and food pick-up.
