The Master's in Curatorial Studies at MUN—the only museum in Spain to offer a Master's in Curatorial Studies—is coming to the CM Congress in Málaga

The Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies was presented at the Culture & Museums International Tech Forum in Málaga, one of the most prominent international gatherings on innovation and technology applied to the cultural and museum sectors.
Based on real-world learning—or “learning by doing”—and the opportunity it offers students to exhibit their creations in an actual museum, the Museo Universidad de Navarra master’s program has historically ranked fifth in its category in the “El Mundo” rankings.

The Museo Universidad de Navarra is participating in the Culture & Museums International Tech Forum, a leading international professional gathering aimed at driving the transformation of the cultural sector through technology, creativity, and collaboration.

Specifically, their participation was marked by the presence of the MUN Master’s Program in Curatorial Studies—an opportunity to raise awareness of the program offered by the MUN, which is considered one of the best in its field.

The MUN is the only museum in Spain to offer an official master’s degree program in curatorial studies. Based on an innovative program that emphasizes hands-on experience and “learning by doing,” the MUN’s Master’s in Curatorial Studies offers a real connection to the professional world of curating and makes the exhibition halls of Museo Universidad de Navarra to its students as exhibition spaces.

Thanks to its innovative approach to working with students, the master’s program has been featured at this prominent cultural and museum event, held biennially in Málaga. In an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world, understanding these tools and knowing how their use can benefit the cultural sector is key. For this reason, the event—which has been held biennially in Málaga for the past four years—brings together experts, companies, and cultural managers to explore the use of artificial intelligence in the museum and cultural sectors.

Focused primarily on the management, promotion, and digital transformation of museums and emerging cultural spaces, this conference aims to explore the possibilities offered by this tool—from the potential to create immersive experiences within the exhibitions themselves to the development of new models for achieving sustainable management of the entire cultural sector.

This year, CM Málaga featured a program that included training sessions and discussion forums to showcase projects, services, and current content relevant to the sector. It provided an opportunity to connect projects, establish synergies, and share ideas and perspectives among the various sectors within the cultural sphere—the museums of the 21st century.
