Masterclass with Helena Pimenta

16 OCT / 17:30
Room 2
Free admission with prior withdrawal of invitation

Helena Pimenta returns to the universe of William Shakespeare and, before we approach to enjoy the staging, she offers us a masterclass to better understand the keys to one of the most admired comedies of William Shakespeare, written in 1602, where the audience is co-protagonist of the events. Twelfth Night opens the cycle Los clásicos hoy within the Museum's theater program.

Born in Salamanca in 1955, Pimenta is a stage director, playwright and theater director. With a career of more than 30 years dedicated to the world of theater, she has become one of the most prestigious stage directors in Spain and one of the best specialists in the playwright William Shakespeare, after staging many of his plays. In addition to her theatrical activity, she has worked extensively as a teacher in various theater schools, universities and national and international forums. She was Director of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico from 2011 to 2019. She has been awarded the National Theater Award, the Stage Directors Association Award for Best Direction, twice, and the 2002 Lazarillo Award for Best Theatrical Career, among others.
