Somewhere in the Spanish plateau a sheep herder dreams of traveling to Titicaca, a retired musical duo recalls their golden age, two girls search for pokemons without luck and a grandfather counts the empty houses of the village to fall asleep. The characters in this film appear as geographical accidents of a territory whose culture and lifestyle seem to fade in time.
Juan Palacios' filmography is situated in that mixed territory between essay film, observational documentary and audiovisual diary. His second feature film proposes a sometimes melancholic and sometimes vitalistic itinerary through the Spanish plateau. The characters that meet the viewer testify to the difficulties they encounter to make a decent living in different parts of the plateau, an enclave that seems to have been abandoned to its fate.
