In January 2025 the Museo Universidad de Navarra will be ten years old since its inauguration, and to celebrate it, it presents the exhibition The Museo Universidad de Navarra Collection. Four DecadesThe exhibition, which, for the first time, shows a complete vision of the evolution of the collection since it began in the early 80s of the last century, is organized around its two major collections, photography and painting. Organized on the basis of its two major collections, photography and painting and sculpture, the collection is organized around the evolution of the visual arts in the construction of images that facilitate our knowledge and understanding of reality. Through the works on display, we can travel through 185 years of art. There are multiple views that help us understand the world thanks to the image, and in which the voice of the artists who created it occupies a predominant place. Starting with the different beginnings of the collection, the collections of Ortiz Echagüe, María Josefa Huarte, Oriente and América, through photography on paper and digital, videos and installations or the artistic residency program Tender puentesThe collection evolves and crosses the historical and artistic periods, techniques and themes that form the backbone of the collection, from the beginning of photography in 1839 to the present day.
