University of Navarra Symphony Orchestra and Sodre Youth Orchestra.

The Orquesta Juvenil Nacional del SODRE, from Uruguay, and the Orquesta Sinfónica Universidad de Navarra will give a concert prior to the European tour to be undertaken by the Uruguayan group.

The future students and the city will attend one of the performances in which the Orquesta Sinfónica Universidad de Navarra collaborates with other professionals and ensembles as part of the work developed throughout the year.

This concert, open to the whole city, will be attended by the conductors of both groups, Ariel Britos and Borja Quintas, who will design the program.

ARIEL BRITOS
Ariel Britos, Uruguayan musician, teacher and symphonic conductor, is the creator of the Children and Youth Orchestra System of Uruguay, a program where Education, Culture and Social Development converge, promoting the study of music in orchestras and choirs as a tool for human and intellectual development in children and young people.

BORJA QUINTAS
Borja Quintas is Professor of Orchestra Conducting at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska and conducts the Russkaya Opera Theater in Moscow. Quintas graduated in Orchestra and Opera Conducting at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with Professor Vladimir Ponkin. As a pianist he studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid with Joaquín Soriano and at the Moscow Conservatory with Viktor Merzhanov.

Artistic Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Universidad de Navarra and the Orquesta Sinfónica, Coro y Escolanía JMJ among others, Borja Quintas has conducted some of the most important ensembles in the world, such as the London Symphony Orchestra or the New Russia Symphony Orchestra.
